October 10 – Renewing Virtue

The Oath of Alexander, sworn in 324 B.C.E. suggests that in times when we face the need to find common grounds across a range of backgrounds, we should consider the path of virtue. What does an ancient oath have to offer our current society, at risk of being rent asunder in the face of differences? Revs. Leslie and David Takahashi Morris will explore why virtues and vices offer lessons for how to live even in our times. (Thanks to Les and Sue Polgar who purchased the right to suggest the idea for this sermon at last year’s SERVE-U auction!)
