Make it So Workshop - Let's Build our Intersectional Muscles!
MDUUC Sanctuary
Calling all members and friends committed to contributing to achieving our Make it So 2020 vision. Rev. Leslie, DLRE Indigo Lewis, Michele Carroll and LEAP Convener Nancy Falk will facilitate dialogue in breakout groups focused on MDUUC PLACE, FAMILIES and STEWARDSHIP. Let’s get all the right folks in a room to DO SOME WORK ON THE SPOT.  We’ll address some intersectional opportunities — like families in social justice, place requirements for families, campus adjustments that would be more multiculturally welcoming, fresh approaches to making stewardship (caring contribution of time, talent, and treasure) a ‘given’ in our culture — and year-round! Interested in building exuberantly multicultural participation? To achieve our vision in these areas – we need to communicate ACROSS councils and committees and work with each other ‘outside the functional stovepipes’! Got ideas? Passion and Purpose? Or want to get involved but not sure how?  Come participate!

Beloved Conversations
Children’s Chapel

Beloved Conversations is an experiential curriculum that provides a space to reform/refuse the brokenness of racism into new patterns of thought and behavior ushering in social and spiritual healing. New ways of being are learned through the actions of conversation and probing dialogue.  This year participants will have a chance to attend the kick-off retreat facilitated by the Rev. Leslie Takahashi and Linda Russell (to be held Friday evening January 26 and all day Saturday, January 27) and twice a month on Sundays.
