Okay, now you’ve signed the book and joined as a member. What now? This is a gathering designed for all of those who have made the commitment of membership and now want to make it real. This is a structured opportunity to reflect on what you are seeking from your religious community and how you can make those connections happen. This is also a great time to meet more of MDUUC’s leaders and ministers. Brunch foods will be provided.

Preparing for the End of Life: A Practical—And Spiritual Guide
OWL Room

Focusing on the inevitability of our own death is no easy matter. Please save the date for a day-long comprehensive effort to help us all make the choices that make a difference when we come to the end of life. Focusing on these difficult conversations in advance and having them with our family members can greatly reduce the stress of those last months.

Topics will include:
 Medical directives and new forms available
 Conversations with family and how to have them
 Hospice and when you use it
 Thinking about end of life care and using providers
 New end of life options for death with dignity
 Estate and financial planning
