9:15 Bully Nation: And What We Can DO About It. Attacks, intimidation and other forms of emotional violence are on the rise. Why are we seeing this in others and in ourselves and how can we each be a force to counter it? Join Rev. Leslie Takahashi as we look at the fraying of the civic fabric and what we can do to be part of its mending. 11:15 a.m. Real Talk About Bullies! Here is a thing we know: people do act like bullies and when they do, hurt happens. Why does this happen and what do we know about it and what can we do about it? Come and be part of this multigenerational service led by Rev. Leslie Takahashi and Director of Lifespan Religious Education Indigo Lewis.

Living Our Values…

Welcoming Congregation

Brave, curious, and compassionate in thought and action. Wanting to make a difference for good. Standing on the side of love, justice, and peace.

Green Sanctuary

We treat the world more gently by using fewer resources and being mindful of the choices we make, both as a congregation and as households.

Solar Powered

In March 2012 SunPower completed the installation of photo voltaic panels at MDUUC which generates a large share of our electricity consumption.

Giving Orchard

In cooperation with The Urban Farmers, planted 90 fruit trees on our property. The trees are now nearing maturity and next summer the fruit will be harvested and donated to those in need.

We are creatures of connection, called to build communities: family, friends, nation, world. This community-building is not a passive activity; it takes intention and effort.
