Speed Dial is an add-on for the Firefox web browser. It allows you to put multiple windows on one Firefox page. Each window corresponds to a link, click on it and you go to that site.
Above is Firefox with Speed Dial partially filled in with environmental sites. Below is an example of Speed Dial completely filled in with news sites.
You can choose how many windows you want across and down. It doesn't have to be five across/six down, as shown. For instance, it could be four across and three down, or three across and five down. You can also have more than one page using dial groups. And you can drag and drop windows to rearrange them as needed.
Speed Dial creates "icons" for each window making it visually appealing and easy to tell what link is what at a glance. So it is a great way to keep track of multiple sites, allowing you to visit them more fluidly and frequently. It is only available for Firefox, because of Firefox's open source and add-on community approach.
If you don't have Firefox, you can download it (free) here, download Speed Dial (free) here, and look at Speed Dial's manual here. Follow Firefox's installation instructions, then follow Speed Dial's installation instructions. Firefox must be installed first.
If you are completely unfamiliar with Firefox, it is a browser like Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Naturally you may have more than one browser on your computer. There are tons of useful free Firefox add-ons, this just happens to be one of the best ones.
For the blind -- you might check out the Web Visum Firefox add-on.
